After failing the practical test a few times and trying a couple of different instructors, I was close to giving up on driving. It’s always been something I have started, but on the day of the test the nerves would get the best of me and I would get discouraged, stopping for a while. Decided to try lessons again, this time with Gareth as my friend recommended him to me, and straight away he picked up on some bad habits I had and helped me fix them. I genuinely thought I would never get my driving license but after only a few months of lessons with Gareth I passed! He is always on time and remains calm and patient, relaxed but still makes sure you stay focused. He won’t just tell you to do something a certain way, but will make sure you understand the reasons for doing things. He taught me some techniques to help with my nerves on the day and this is I think is the main reason I passed. Overall I would definitely recommend Gareth Marchant to anyone in the Stirling area!

Gareth is always punctual, patient, calm and professional. He took both my sons out as novice drivers on their 17th birthdays. Initially in his car and then moved on to ours. They had lessons over around 6 months. On the day of their tests he picked them up an hour before hand for a reassuring drive and both passed first time. I would highly recommend anyone to consider Gareth as a Driving Instructor.

When I was about to start learning, I couldn’t imagine that I will be able to drive and even pass for the first time 😉 The credit goes to Gareth. I liked the way he teaches. He is very adaptable in the sense that he tailors his way of teaching as per your learning method and ability. During the lessons, he is friendly, very patient, quite understandable and someone that let you develop that confidence, which you will need on the road. I passed today and therefore thank you very much Gareth and many thanks to pmc (my friend), who recommended Gareth to me. I am very happy based on my experience of learning from Gareth and I recommend him to everyone.

I asked a friend to recommend a driving instructor and I am so grateful that she recommended Gareth. She said 'Gareth will teach you how to be a good driver and not just pass a test' - she was absolutely right. He is a patient, reactive and adaptive teacher who always had a solution for every problem I threw at him. He really knows his stuff and made sure he got to know me and how I learn best in order to teach me. I passed my test today and I am so grateful for his assistance.
